The Magic of Milly team have great pleasure in introducing friend and fellow fundraiser, Kim Hill, who will be running three half marathons (and an extra cheeky 10k on top!) in three months to raise money for BCH on behalf of Milly. Sponsor Kim here!
Here’s a quick Q&A to get you up to speed…
So, tell us a bit about yourself!: I’m Kim Hill, family friend of Zoe who’s part of the team, and I’m a busy working mom of two who loves to run. Sometimes you just need to escape the hustle and bustle of life, and running is what I choose to relax. That, and wine of course!
Why this challenge?: I turn 40 in two years and I’m determined to take on a big challenge or two before the big 4-0, and what better than making it all worthwhile by raising money for charity at the same time!
What will it take?: It’s going to take a lot of training, I’m a little out of practice! I’ll also have to start being relatively strict with my diet, no sneaky cakes and dare I say it… less wine!
Why Magic of Milly?: Milly and her story really touched me. She was an incredibly brave girl who went through so much in her life. It’s wonderful that she was surrounded by so much love, and how her dedicated family and medical staff helped her to go on holiday, spend time with friends and do normal toddler things, despite all her medical obstacles. It inspires me to raise money for BCH to support other family’s like the Hill’s in their time of need, so Magic of Milly was the perfect choice!
